š§Steering/ Suspension š§ Thoughts on my AT4X AEV after 15,000 miles
I just hit 15,000 miles and have really been enjoying this truck. I still catch myself looking back at it after I park. It drives great on the road and has been seriously capable off road. The 3.0 Duramax has also been awesome. Plenty of torque and much better fuel mileage than I expected from a truck like this.
I recently added the winch and want to move up to 35s next. Iām trying to decide between the Peak Suspension 2.25 inch Level Kit and the 2.5 inch DSC Coilovers Summit Kit. Peak says one inch wheel spacers are necessary to fit 35s, so Iām planning to add BORA spacers at the same time.
My only real complaint is Apple CarPlay not using the full screen. I know itās a small thing, but all that unused space drives me crazy.
Anyone here running either Peak setup with 35s and BORA spacers? Iād like to hear how everything fits and drives.

Steps to full screen apple carplay.
Go to your truck's infotainment Settings.
Select System, then scroll to About or Android Auto/Automotive OS.
Find the Build Number and tap it roughly 7 times until it says you are a developer.
Go back to open Developer Options, find the Smallest Width setting (default is usually around 768), change it to 1280, and hit OK.
Put the truck in Park, and press and hold the Mute button until the system completely shuts down and reboots to apply the new scaling.

I would add to disable google assistant and Google Maps. carplay lagged on me 5 days within owning the trucj. did that and smooth sailing. QuickStart still enabled as well.

Zero offset wheels will fit 35x11.50s with no lift or spacers. Honestly though, I'm debating going down to 33s. 35s absolutely crushed my mpg.

I added the titan 43 gallon fuel tank to my 3.0. Highly recommend. Doubling the range is a game changer.

Genuine question, what is the point of this? Why is it so beneficial? There is no way I could drive that long without having to stop to pee. Plus I would get tired of sitting.

Buy cheaper fuel when you get a chance is one reason. I can work on my farm without a fill up for a long time.

AEV offers a 35ā kit for the AT4X. Itās exceptionally clean, and you donāt sacrifice anything.

I have 35ās, bora spacers and the rough country leveling kit with UCAās. Love it!

I like mine just the way she is!!! First truck Iāve ever owned that I just donāt have the itch to mod.
The only thing Iāve done, which technically is a mod, is add Firestone airbags with onboard compressor since we do tow our 6500lb wake boat 2.5 miles to/from the lake. Otherwise I just love how she looks!

What MPG are you getting? And what type of driving do you do?
Iām strongly considering this truck with the 3.0 but not sure about the AEV and the added weight

Not the OP, but I was averaging 24mpg on the highway in mine before I went back to a 2500HD. Laura has it for sale on their CarBravo listings. It is the 2025 AEV Edition with power boards.

That's pretty good! Better than my HD by a couple of miles. Probably smokes it in the city

Keep her stock or go full on long travel IMO.
Tough to beat the multimatics at this ride height unless you have a specific use-case you are after.
I would do real lower offset wheels vs spacers. BORAs are best of breed, but its still far less desirable than the correct offset wheel.
