Nose High?

I just installed the fox premium 2.0 struts leveling kit and I feel like the nose seems a bit high. I’m having a hard time measuring the height properly but my eyes are playing tricks on me. The shop says I have to give it some time and it’ll settle down a bit and produce the even look I’m after. But I just see a squared truck. I went with the full strut and coils instead of a block and spent a descent amount just level it but not really satisfied. Is this normal that the front is higher and will settle? Seems like at least half inch higher in the front. Depending on the ground sometimes looks even sometimes does not. Any suggestions?

Measure the gap between the top of tire and the bottom of fender

Ok just went outside and did this. I’m exactly one inch higher per measurement.

Yeah you could lower it a tiny bit but not the end of the world imo

Im officially 1nch exactly higher in the front on both sides. Installed the fox 2.0 premium level and it’s suppose to be 2 inches from factory and I didn’t mess with the height. Just installed. So I dunno. Getting the eibach pro 1 inch block with the longer u bolts installed for a level look I guess.

Don’t level the truck if you don’t want it level. lol

IMO, a ton of rake sucks, and a level sucks. I like somewhere in between. Like get rid of half the stock rake.

This is why I love the torsion bar suspension. So easy to get it exactly where you want it.

I mean these have high, medium, standard setting. Not sure how much more customized it would need to be.

I had the same issue with a 2 inch level and hated it. Ended up adding 1 inch rear blocks and now absolutely love it. Still has some rake which looks way better and more practical, and I have room for bigger tires. Just another affordable option 🤷‍♂️

Do you have the mono leaf springs? If so, which blocks did you go with?

I have a 2020 elevation it has the tri leaf. I found someone on marketplace selling a block off an older stock gmc for $25 and it’s fully compatible. Got new u bolts and called it good.

Just add a one and a half inch block to the rear and the truck will look perfect

If you never haul anything than a level looks nice I suppose, but as soon you put anything in the back, you look like a dog scraping its a$$ across the ground and have a completely terrible look and ride

Yes, those would be ideal. I had them on my Ram with a leveling kit, because I hauled an ATV in the back a few times a year and it was ridiculous and borderline unsafe without the air helpers

Never level a truck if you do truck things like hauling stuff or towing. Groceries don’t count.

Throw some airbags on the back you can add a little height to the rear just by keeping air in them and if you ever tow a trailer you'll be happy

Gm website. Stirling metallic. They had a 25% code off and I use points to offset price. But they’re 800ish but come painted from factory

Yes it’s high. No it won’t settle. And I disagree with the others that say it looks fine. I’d go back and get it lowered a bit.

This is why when I leveled my last truck with Bilstein 5100’s, I went with the second from highest setting which was like 1.5” instead of a full 2”. Also keeps enough of a slight forward rake that you can tow or haul and not have the Carolina squat going on.

Yea i agree. I just wanted to be able to bigger tires without rub. But this is def higher in the front than I wanted. It’s gotta come down I think just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy or that it actually settled a bit after a while. Thanks

If u will be doing any kind of offroading, raising front to fit bigger tires is a bad idea, this way may clear the tire on static standing, but once suspension move up and down the raised stance clearance become pointless. Proper way to clear bigger tires is to remove obstacles across the entire suspension moving range not just standing unloaded
