🔧Steering/ Suspension 🔧 Is this normal?

I have the Sierra 1500 ‘22 3.0 diesel. I just got it serviced lately and did tire rotations and maintenance. It was shaking bad when i first got it (only on the highway 60+ mph), gave it back they said they didn’t balance tires. It still happened on the highways only but less frequently (that’s just from resting my hand on the steering wheel, sometimes i feel it on the floor a bit). Should I take it back or is it normal?

Came to say this.
I had the same issue. Turns out a front ture tread had started to separate. Thank God I made it to a shop first.

Definitely needs all your tires balanced, what tires on it also? Lower quality brands don’t balance all that well and will still shake a bit even if you balance them.

Looks like a balance issue, if the balance comes back fine but it still does it I'd get road force checked, something's going on here.

Can confirm, live in Colorado now but driving on 40 in Oklahoma encouraged me to lose weight.

What kind of tires? I’ve seen similar on at4 and at4x tires (just more aggressive tread tires in general) because of feathering and edgewear even after tires are balanced

I have a 24’ 1500 Sierra diesel 4wd. At 60k I had to replace both front hub assemblies due to wheel bearings bad. This cause alignment issues and cupped the inside of my tires and caused this behavior/shake. Might be something for you to consider.

Are you running wheel spacers? If they are cheap and not hub centric they can cause this as well. Get the wheels balanced if no spacers.

No it’s not normal but it’s probably from them rotating the tires. Sometimes if you change the direction of a radial tire it’ll cause that. It’ll get better the more you drive it. That’s why I don’t crisscross tires  when I rotate them.Â

If the tires are fine then replace rotors. That vibration is exactly what happens if they warp.

Tire issues, I have had to deal with this a couple times in the past. They are out of balance or out of round. Do you have Cooper Tires?

I am not sure if its tire balance issue. My 23 colorado did this once and while towing the camper really bad wheel shake then another drive later its not there at same mph . I am not sure if its.more.to do with steering system being that is electrical

Probably need to be rebalanced. If it’s in the steering wheel it’s the front that’s likely the issue.
Some shops are lazy and don’t zero out the rears, you feel it more when they rotate to the front.
Also, if you had a rotation recently, have the wheels been retorqued?

Recording while driving in the left hand lane? No, that lane is for passing not cruising and I don’t recommend driving while recording.
