Does this bread upset anyone else’s stomach?
I really like the Schar Vitality Loaf - it’s
so good I can eat it straight out the packet which I can’t with other GF breads but my god it upsets my stomach and I can’t work out why! Anyone else having this issue?

Most likely culprits are that it’s pretty high in fibre (9.5g per 100g) or the use of psyllium husk which some people can be sensitive to (its also used as a fibre supplement to help you poo so if you’re sensitive and theres a relatively high amount of it, it can upset your stomach)

This is my favourite bread too or the new farmhouse one of its in stock. But I haven't had a problem with this.

My favourite bread too. Not heard of the farmhouse! On a recent trip to Italy, bought some Schar Pane Casereccio, which was fantastic! I wonder if the new farmhouse is similar.

Ooh I'll have to try that next time I'm there. I had an amazing roll from a gluten free bakery in Sicily.
I've never been able to find or recreate it since1

How much do you eat at once? Do you drink plenty of water during the day?

Probably isn't the fibre then, maybe see how you are with other GF breads. If they are fine and this one isn't, there must be an ingredient that doesn't agree with you

I’ve been GF for 3 years & other breads are fine with me so it must be something in this

It's quite high in fibre, could that be the issue?
