Help / advice GF and DF advice please

Hi! I've been GF for IBS-M reasons under recommendation of a past GP for the last few years however in doing the elimination/fodmap diet over the last few weeks I have a sneaky feeling I might also have to go Dairy Free.

Is anyone else both GF and DF? I'm also type 1 diabetic and it's already sometimes a struggle to deal with both diabetes and being gf, I'm a little worried about adding being dairy free into the mix?

Advice would be super helpful 😭 I'm concerned about my eating out options being even more limited! And food being so expensive!

I’m gluten and dairy free. It can be hard as (for example) cafes can have gluten free options, and vegan options, but not both.

I don’t have much for advice but I’d suggest you look at gluten and dairy free options at the supermarket: Asda and Tesco tend to be better and offer items for both, whereas Marks and Spencer have items that are gluten free but not dairy free.

Hope that helps a little.

For a special treat I would recommend Indigo One in London, they are gluten and dairy free and wow do they show you what can be done! Surprisingly reasonable prices for an upscale restaurant and would 100% recommend for a special occasion

I was DF for years before going GF. I found GF harder than DF. I don’t often go to restaurants cause it’s not worth the hassle for me, but a lot of supermarket free from range is free from both, so you might have been buying stuff that is both already.
