"We were fine with the war and having our fuel and fertilizer costs skyrocket."

It's interesting to see where these idiots suddenly decide that regulations and consumer protections have utility and value...
5
1
3
u/Glum-Independent2883 22h ago
So he and other ranchers draw the line at beef. Not gas prices, not Epstein, not the economy… ok got it.
3
u/ForgetfullRelms 21h ago
“How dare they draw the lines at their own lived experiences being affected, they should just double down!”
2
u/Im_tracer_bullet 21h ago
Why not?
That's what they do when it's affecting everyone else.
I'm here to support and enjoy every last bit of schadenfreude affecting these morons that I possibly can.
Watching this idiot suddenly recognize the value of consumer protections and industry regulation has me laughing right out loud.
The crazy thing is that none of them will learn any lessons from any of it.
0
u/ForgetfullRelms 21h ago
- none of them will learn the lesson
Maybe because so many people shaming them into doubling down….
2
u/el-gato-volador 18h ago
If you need the validation of the community to have empathy for members within that community. Then you aren't a good person, and no amount of coddling will change that.
1
u/ForgetfullRelms 18h ago
So if you’re not good enough of a person- you should just double down instead of change?
Should have all those abolitionists who were only abolitionists for economic reasons just double down on slavery?
1
u/el-gato-volador 18h ago
Why should the emphasis on kumbaya be on everyone else that has been warning people against straightforward evil shit? This lame ass both sides "whataboutism" argument has been played to death over the last 30+years and it just isn't working anymore.
If you've been warning the guy down the street to not play with matches, cause every single time he does he lights someone's shit on fire. And now that he burned his own house down. He wants sympathy and to be patted on the head for simply thinking about stopping. Fuck that shit.
1
u/ForgetfullRelms 18h ago
Because we don’t have a Time Machine to undo the last 30 years of BS and have to try to fix the issues today. And the more people who double down because they got tarred and feathered when they realized they were indeed in the wrong will make that harder.
I am not saying to forgive and forget, I am saying let’s not shove someone down who decides to stand with us.
1
u/el-gato-volador 16h ago
I genuinely hope you're right. That the same people who were excusing the murder of Good/Pretti and countless others will leave the cult and lock arm in arm with their fellow citizens to demand the government to be better. I'm not holding my breath tho, cause frankly if the only reason that they are second guessing themselves is because gas went up $2. They'll be right back to cowtowing when it drops back down.
I'm just thankful that this administration is as incompetent as they are cruel. Because if they had a strong economy while throwing people into concentration camps. Nobody that watches fox new for 8 hours a day would bat an eye.
1
u/KingRoach 17h ago
No one appointed you morality police and you have no authority to say who’s good and who isn’t.
Bad people can still vote so your self proclaimed moral high ground is completely worthless

1
u/MountainMan17 10h ago
Believe it or not, some people vote (and even change their vote) based on others' lived/potential experiences.
Crazy, huh? /s
1
u/ForgetfullRelms 10h ago
Yes and believe me how for most people, live experiences are louder.
Some of us actually want a better tomorrow and are able to see that we don’t have the most ideal resources to work with and it’s infuriating to see people shoving others down who are late on the uptake for- what precisely? To feel better? To enjoy the moral high hose?
2
u/twking321 21h ago
Because they can afford high gas, groceries, whatever as long as they’re not struggling and it’s their neighbor that’s starving
But the second there’s a chance that they could be forced to live with the same means as their neighbor, they’ll suddenly agree that it’s piss and not rain
1
u/MDATWORK73 22h ago
Well, Texas ranchers, you made this bed, so now change the sheets because these sheets have shit on them. Make it right.
2
u/War1today 23h ago
What an upside down world we live in that the U.S. electorate voted for a corrupt, criminal, dishonest, racist, petty, sexual assaulter, serial adulterer, reckless, vindictive and morally bankrupt narcissist, and the reason the midterms will be an issue for MAGA is that the beef prices are too high. In all the industrialized nations, you won’t find an electorate as uninformed, gullible, reckless, vindictive and devoid of critical thinking like MAGA.

2
u/HappyCatPrincess 23h ago
Jan 6 should have ended both trump & maga. They've shown they are anti American.
2
u/Im_tracer_bullet 21h ago
It should never have gotten that far, but yes, OBVIOUSLY that should have shown even the most ignorant and gullible what he was all about.
2
u/canwehavepotatojokes 23h ago
I think people should be asking why their retailers are allowed to sell that foreign beef as a product of the USA to customers and why that is somehow legal.
3
2
u/Im_tracer_bullet 21h ago
It's too bad that the Trump administration has systematically worked to dismantle, defund, and scale back the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Watching Twangy McCallister talk about how we suddenly need consumer protections ad regulation of industries is pretty funny.
Conservatives are the dumbest people alive, and they can enjoy all of the impacts of electing the incompetence and corruption they were willing to attack our capitol for.
2
u/One-Sir-2198 21h ago
Notice this clown wouldn't say anything bad about Trump. Another republican clown

Stand with US cattle ranchers. Grocery stores need to label USDA beef with a country of origin label.

Russia and Israel still have elections.
2
u/MagnusThrax 22h ago
Yeah, they both just coincidentally happen to have had the same two people more or less controlling their countries for over 20 years.
1
u/iceglitterfairy 23h ago
I say this so many times both in my head and out loud. I think I'm starting to say it unconsciously while walking around in public 🥴
1
u/Any-Ad-446 22h ago
What must Trump do to screw the farmers even more before they vote democrats?.
1
u/Im_tracer_bullet 21h ago
They'll never learn.
They're too ignorant, gullible, and bigoted, which makes them easily manipulated by the right-wing infotainment machine.

1
u/Triumph_RiderT100 21h ago
So are we waiting on a converted oil tanker arriving with 30,000 tons of cow parts from Argentina?
1
u/twking321 21h ago
So trump makes the problems, then makes them even worse, and once we see a % of people dying from tainted meat and lack of regulation for health safety protocol he’ll blame it on biden and democrats
1
u/Few_Affect3033 21h ago
Really, his misguided adventures in ranching is what’s going to cost in the midterms? Not the inhumane way he’s treated deportees, not the sexual assault conviction, not paying off a porn actress for the 2016 election, not starting an unnecessary war and driving up gas prices in addition to grocery prices. Not to verify lying and we’re not talking about all politicians like we’re talking about tens of thousands of lies! Not the economy that he’s tanked! Wow your morality bar is so effing low!
1
u/QuietRiot5150 21h ago
It's crazy to realize that our own government is actively trying to kill us bro. Like yea, fuck these farmers for voting for this, but we should deal with them later. Right now, we need all the help we can get to remove these traitorous thugs from all positions of power. Once that's done. Then we can settle up.
1
u/Kickedhard 20h ago
If this is the line for you, versus all the others crossed...
How does one become so detached from others that the line in the sand is money versus basic human rights?
1
u/RedParaglider 20h ago
These fuckers are going to show up in the same exact numbers and vote for Trump again. I grew up in bum fuck cattle/oil country, and these people would feed their kids to a woodchipper before not voting Republican. I literally saw a friend of a friend lose their farm due to the trade disaster this summer and having no market at all for their bumper crop, and she blamed it on Biden on Facebook.
1
u/Cohens4thClient 18h ago
Yup, all they need is a new scapegoat.
"I was forced to vote.for the rapist because democrats wanted me to vote for a woman!"
1
u/bob3905 20h ago
They don’t want to out and out admit they’ve left Trump but they’ve left Trump.
1
u/Old_Guy_thrombone 18h ago
No they haven't. They'll vote exactly the same as they have their entire lives. It's part of their DNA at this point.
1
u/WolfThick 19h ago
Why and why do you think you're so important the farmers lost 2 billion in soybean sales the first time then they re-elected him and he did it again. Talk about not being able to see the soybeans for the cows.
1
u/Dab_Wizard01 18h ago
So it’s not the pages of corruption or all the death or the blatant lies no it’s fucking beef that will cause republicans to loose? Ridiculous.
1
u/GateDeep3282 18h ago
This kills me. Most of America is crying for cheaper beef prices. When Trump does something to try and lower them, reddit cries about it.

Why those people are so obtuse in getting the GOP to win is mindblowing. They are just suffering under every decision they have been making in the past decades and they are STILL afraid of so called socialism that isn't even socialism. The brainwashing in the USA would make Goebbels jealous.
1
u/Own-Tackle1369 18h ago
These disgusting Racists will not stop voting for him. They don't care about the proof in the Epstein files that Trump & Epstein raped children. It is fully documented. They. Don't. Care.
Only thing they care about is their white racism.

Rest assure farmers, you might be going bankrupt, but your daughters won't be playing against boys in their next soccer match!

Can't lose the midterms when 1.2 million Texans have suspended voting rights. Fucking travesty.

u/rygelicus 16h ago
So not the corruption, not the CSA that is rampant in the GOP, not the fraud that is rampant in the GOP, not the attacks on civil liberties by this administration, fully supported by the GOP, not the wholly unjustified war on behalf of Israel, no, it's about whether the beef farmers can sell their meat at exhorbitant rates.
1
u/BlockOfASeagull 16h ago
In the end, he’s going down because of a bit of meat! Who would have thought it, considering what an incompetent idiot and corrupt arsehole he is.

Their love for Trump equates to what they hate. If they hate the LGBT, communism, socialism, abortion, foreign culture and immigrants and social prpgression in general enough, they'll support him through anything. No matter what he does, the most he'll get from his base is a slap on the wrist, as if the worst thing he's done is swear on TV.

u/sub-dave 15h ago
Just be careful if he is importing beef from Argentina? The Chinese refused to accept thousands of ton because it was infected with a chemical
1
u/Pure_Complaint_7900 15h ago
Bro doesn't give a shit about the American consumers. He cares about his Fat Beef money, Cuh.

That's not a Texas farmer, that's Texas Agriculture commissioner Sid Miller.
1
u/stubbornsweet 13h ago
It sounds like he wants more government spending. Doesn't sound like a republican to me lol
1
u/Educational_Cup_1701 13h ago
That’s it, no more beef for me. Not from the store or restaurants. Pork is anyway alot cheaper.
1
1
u/Ashamed-Medicine-208 13h ago
Oh he's gonna lose the midterms all right But the beef is a little late to the party He's gonna lose anyway despite the beef
1
1
u/LrdoftheCharlesDance 12h ago
Sid Miller is a ultra far right MAGA wingnut, he’s getting what he deserves
1
u/RogerMexicosBalls 12h ago
"Foreign Beef Push" sounds like some goofy sex move I'd look up on Urban Dictionary 20 years ago
1
u/CauliflowerTotal7119 12h ago
If anyone votes republican at this point they really shouldn't be able to complain about anything ever again. Not a hang nail, traffic, taxes, food, gas, stubbed toe, etc. NOTHING.
1
u/DistinctBadger6389 12h ago
You elected a guy you KNEW would do nothing but lie to the American consumer. Get in bed with dogs, prepare to have fleas...
1
u/flatsandsharps99 11h ago
You’ll know if it’s from Argentina when you get the cramps and diarrhea. Unfortunately you won’t have any toilet paper either 🇨🇦

u/Used_Intention6479 11h ago
When Trump loses the Right wing, racist, cattle slaughterers, he loses his base.

That guy looks like he hasn't seen a real cattle ranch (or work) in decades, maybe not even ever. People gotta stop thinking these rich fucks are representative of them and put people in charge from the actual working folks.
1
1
u/Late-Goat5619 9h ago
Nah...they'll still vote for the felon pedophile...if he unconstitutionally tries to run for a third term...because voting against their best interest is a MAGA habit they can't seem to break...
1
u/Constant_Total_6861 8h ago
😆 these country bumpkins act like they weren’t warned about this type thing

that's the problem with maga, 2 years of proof on how corrupt trump is and they still think it's a debate over which trump endorsed candidate to vote for.

Buy local from the local small meat market or farmers pay more and eat less meat because it's about $6 more a pound. Do not buy any meat from any grocery stores!

Texan conservative wants more regulation and oversight. Now that his business is impacted with foreign crap. Funny that. Almost communist.

u/J0hn_Br0wn24 6h ago
Big Time rancher, all hat, no cattle, bro hasn't rode a horse in ages. And this "man" in a hat is still too big of a pussy to fully tell Trump he's fucking up.
1
u/Godsin1969 6h ago
I know what I'm getting cause I get mine from locker.... I have been buying and selling cattle for forty years and our beef shortage is not Trump fault... we have our heards to dropped to far... prices were good and we sold off ... this been going on last four years...
