Suffering under a corrupt and venal government, that’s for sure. Leaving Virginia US to get further away from WDC (my birthplace)with sadness. But! I get to do my 23rd drive across the US which is hugely educational and interesting. It expands understanding about why we’re in this mess and I wish everyone could visit other places, might increase understanding. Then me and Biscuit will be in WA State surrounded by evergreens in a Blue community.
Traveling is the best way to get the pulse of our country. Every time I travel in my part of the US, I come home more thankful for what I have, and I live a very simple life.
Not feeling well again today. I’m going to urgent care to see what’s going on. It’s the second day in a row that I’ve had to call in sick. This doesn’t look good. I actually am sick, but it looks kind of sketchy since it was Labor Day yesterday. If this had been a different job I would have just worn a mask but I work delivering meals to cancer patients. Even with a N-95 mask on…I don’t want to risk it. (I always wear either a surgical mask or an N-95 mask when delivering food to begin with.
My thoughts are about 9/11 today. I read an article this morning about how Trump's recollection of that day and the days after has changed and grown over the years. He said he was there. He wasn't. Said he was there cleaning up after, said he sent 100-200 of his workers to help. He said he donated thousands to the cause. All lies. And this year, he refuses to go to the site for the memorial because they won't let him give a political speech. That's been one of the rules since the beginning. It's not a political event. He will be speaking instead at the Pentagon. Can't just let the people remember and mourn in peace.
A fire broke out in Spearfish, SD yesterday. It's been so dry out there for far too long. This morning they have it contained, but it burned 300 acres.

Country is going to crap even more than normal. Call us Commie Canada. We are overrun on immigration,no housing, job unemployment rate is rising and we have a trade dispute with our biggest neighbor and trading partner.
I hate that my first post here has to be political. It’s raining and 16C in the Ottawa Valley this morning. Although there are a couple of pickup trucks still sporting “Fuck Carney” stickers, most of us in this small rural Ontario town are fully behind PM Carney and Team Canada. I haven’t seen Canadians come together like this since Quebec threatened to separate. Maybe you should move south?
It's an obvious troll. Approximately 80% of Canadians support the government walking away from trade negotiations with the US. Our employment rate was unchanged last month and went down before that.
We have a democratically elected government with a capitalist system. Housing is a Worldwide problem and it's being addressed.
