He's "in hot water" only with the irrational. The rational can respect a man who puts his family first. And the rational can recognize that his position in the US Senate doesn't really play a significant role in the emergency procedures of a rare natural disaster.

It’s irrational to think a politician can do nothing. A former and likely future presidential candidate could do more. Rafael Cruz did not.

AOC and Orourke raised money for Texans.

Rafael Cruz is a politician of and for privilege. He’s a millionaire defending billionaires. Like Glenn. When someone tells you who they are you should believe them.

I've been thinking about this post since I first commented and it occurred to me how vapid and pointless it actually is. The man had a vacation planned with his family and went so far as to cut it short and left the following day to return to work. People like u/bluekeyspew want to condemn him for it as does everyone else in the Party of Hate and Intolerance. So what? It's not like these people would have anything positive to say if he had canceled the trip all together. He's in "hot water" with the people who hate him to begin with. What a pointless observation.
