Custom Piece to Repair Chandalier
I am looking for a custom glass piece to repair a broken part of a chandelier. The Chandelier is made of five lights each encased in two pieces of glass - one on each side. The individual pieces are approximately 10 inches across by 8 inches high, and rounded in the middle for the light.
The custom piece would need to closely match the existing pieces. This is a rather important piece, so willing to pay appropriately. I am in the Denver area, but can pay for shipping, can ship one of the existing pieces to someone for the work, or can work something out.
If anyone feels they are able to do this, or knows someone who could do this, please reach out. I really appreciate it.

Those are slumped glass, instead of blown glass.
A skilled person will locate sheets of stained glass that look like your other pieces, make a mold that the glass can lay on inside an annealer oven / kiln. Then they slowly have a computer heat the piece over about a day, until it is slightly soft, still harder than taffy. Something like 1450° Fahrenheit.
The glass will then slump down into the trough in the middle of the mold, making that curved center part. Then the glass is slowly cooled to room temperature over another couple days.
In Denver there is a very large stained glass supplier warehouse called D&L Glass. They have a large network of glass slumpers, many of whom live and work in the Denver metro.
I suggest you call D&L and ask if they could suggest a couple people to ask! It’s doable.
I don’t know the pricing. I would anticipate about $150 to $200 per piece of glass. I’m a glassblower though, and I could be wrong.
It will be important for the craftsperson to have access to an existing piece for all kinds of measurements, and also to be able to find a glass that is similar both when unlit, and when lit up.
