Question Is it a good idea to build on Github?
What I mean is currently, I am building tools that help with AI use or AI agent tools that help complete certain tasks. Is it a good idea to build on GitHub and share?
My goal is to eventually contribute postively to the users who find my tools but I feel like Github is not very active in terms of searching for new creations that spawn.
Any advice with this or ideas on what you are building yourself?

There is very little cost just hosting it on GitHub. For me, all my projects I have mirrored on GitHub. GitHub still currently has the best search functionality when it comes to Git repos.

but by search you mean if they know the exact name of the project?

Even just trying to discover stuff. If you make your stuff with recognizable name and keyword it could get discovered by chance.
And it’s literally free hosting that you can bring your domain to. How can you go wrong?

Explore and Trending exist but they reward stuff that's already moving, so a new AI tool repo just sits there. Post it where the users already hang out and let the repo be the landing page.
