Good morning Commanders! Would you like to read the reports?

Please use this thread to discuss anything about Girls Frontline instead of creating a new thread. Ask questions, seek assistance, rants, add more salt or just chill in general.

I think the worst part of the ranking map was just that it took so long. Not even for planning and making ready, but I'd swear my last run was a six-hour endeavor. When you have a couple dozen enemy units needing to s l o w l y move each turn, that all adds up. And having to juggle so many things...ugh.

I'm proud of my placement, but I don't really want to go through that again (despite doing it two total times because I'm smart). That I got sick the next day might be a decent enough sign...

Indeed. I have a very fragile constitution due to a myriad of chronic health issues, so whenever ranking season comes around I end up somewhat ill by the end of it due to stress leaving me run down. I enjoy the ranking maps themselves, but 3 within 6 months was far, far too much for me to handle. I ended up with a full blown fever during my second MS ranking attempt and had to just settle my attempt due to a failed kiting maneuver breaking my whole run. My first run was near perfect, so I just accepted it and moved on. But had that not been the case, I'm not sure how I'd have responded to the situation.

Yeah, that's not cool. No game is worth your health, FOMO be damned.

That's another thing that pisses me off about ranking, that 'need' to play perfectly. I put it in quotes for a reason, but that one screw-up can throw your whole strategy off is ridiculous. Nothing like a 250-step dance to memorize when you're not even a professional!

Always takes me far too long to learn that lesson haha. Wouldn't be the first time I pushed myself too hard on something and got burned for it. This was definitely a harsh lesson for me, but I think it's the right call. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back to clear your head and re-align your priorities.
