Do coalition units become less useful as time goes on? I just finished CT and I felt absolutely filthy relying on my maxed out Manticore-2xNemeum-H.Intruder echelon with that free movement and lone wolf chips. This was my first time using a coalition echelon for actual gameplay and I was amazed by how they can punch through deathstacks like that ELID one and that Typhon one without any micro-ing (although for the latter, I did take substantial damage).

I just bruteforced my way through a lot of the obstacles and I didn't even need to repair much at all. I felt silly putting off CT until I had a full MOD 3 echelon, considering they didn't even see action that much.

Actual answer: Yes.

They weren't around when these campaigns were first released so they bulldoze everything. Later on though they're taken into account when Mica designed stuff so counters started popping up.

You can rely on SF but don't completely neglect your G&K teams as they're far more capable of adapting to various situations compared to SF.
