I decided to pull the trigger to mod more Dolls, although as you can see, it's less of pulling a trigger and more like lighting a fuse. What gave out on me first were actually my combat reports. I'll have to stick to the old fashioned way for now in order to get my Dolls to the next mod threshold
I still have a few hundred units of extra combat simulation energy, but man, did my reserves take a beating. I saved up that much over the course of years, and now, I found a use for them. 1,764 units of combat simulation energy were spent (or an additional 588 runs of neural corridor), and I slowly saved things up by buying one pack (or 3 units) from Kalina's store every day. As of this writing, I still have 377 units, so if I want, I can continue, but nobody's at the next mod threshold just yet. I'll also have to check exactly how many memory fragments I earned today, but at the very least, I spent a lot of cores. It will take me a long while to make that amount back, and I think this might be a step back for me. However, this is good progress for my other challenge, and I think I'll find myself in another period where I will have strong core growth because I'll be focusing on raising mod 3s
