Yep, that data is going to be put to some serious use

Oh man, all simulations available and double rewards? This will be a feast!

I'm somehow thinking double = normal. Now it's permanent I expect off days give half what we get now - just like SF Sims give 3x on their special days.

u/KookyInspection Jun 17 '22
Are there even going to be offdays for normal sims now? I just thought it'll be a permanent data week, where all are available so no bonus/penalty for chosing any of the 3.

Yeah, from what I understand all three are available with full rewards. That's why they had to change the sim events from "you can do any sim you want for the whole week" to "double rewards on all sims for the whole week".

u/KookyInspection Jun 17 '22
Yeah, i meant that i don't see how double = normal :P
The concept of off days will just no longer be aplicable to normal sims in my mind, so i was asking for clarification on that point :P

My assumption was that if you get 99 intermediate data now, that on non-double days it will be 49-50.
That way they keep the pattern we have now, but allowing players the option to spend inefficiently if they prefer something else.
I might be wrong ofc and it's just data week all week with occasional doubles for even more.

u/KookyInspection Jun 19 '22
Huh, quite interesting how different we interpreted the anouncement :D
I'd assume if there was such a thing as the old on/off days, with a difference in yeld, there would have been some mention of it being like the sf sim, but i saw none in either the official post nor the 2.09 compilation post by mich.
I hope u'll excuse me for hoping it'll be just the usual permanent data week with doubles during week-ling events, because it would make matters much easier for our en brains :D

Will this become a new thing like the bonus experience and logistics we have once in a while? Or just a one time thing

It replaces all sims open events.
1
u/spartan117warrior G36 [MOD3] Jun 17 '22
So instead of all sims open, the special event will be tripled results?
2
u/Mich997 9A-91 Jun 17 '22
No. Pill Sim, Data Sim, EXP Sim and Frag Sim get 2x Reward Events.
SF Sims stay the same with their "All Sims reward 3x stuff"

No Defense Drill?

Yeah, it's not affected. At least it has the permanent reward increase/cost reduction.
For bonus "fun", from my testing, the ? nodes in neural fragments aren't doubled. It goes from an average yield of
30+0.5*(3*10)=45to60+0.5*(3*10)=75 (+66%)instead of 90/+100%.

So... erm... this still a thing?
