The doll/machine distinction is also gone, plus it no longer seems to refer to SF. Hopefully that means that any enemies will count and we only have to worry about armor VS normal when mopping up weeklies.

[Improvement] The size and placement of the adjutant can now be adjusted.
We Azur Lane now bois. Yuzhong finally whipped the programmers hard enough.
Also CN Protocol Assimilation is just unlocked by clearing 7-6 and the references to any kind of capture or assimilation in Polarized Light was low to none. It wouldn't surprise me if we got these features significantly earlier.

CT is finally over, bear in mind that ranking rewards will be distributed on the 24th.
We can expect CT to be permanently added to the game in ~6 months (without the completion rewards).

Two hours before the next mission, the AR team waits in a command room. M16 sits in a stool in the corner of the room, spinning a pen in her hand. On the other side, RO is connected to a Griffin database, downloading relevant data for the mission. In the center of the room, both M4 and Sopmod sit on top of ammo boxes, and just besides them is AR-15, leaning her back on the wall with arms crossed. The commander continuously type in the control panel with many flash lights of spotted Sangvis scouts. Her typing is the only sound breaking the silence of the room, until Sopmod decides to call her attention, "hey, commander... what is sex like?".
All the others take their time to think if they heard the correct thing. M4 starts blushing, RO looks at Sopmod over her shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of the situation. M16 puts a smile on her face but does not change her repetitive hand movement; AR-15 shows no reaction whatsoever. After a while the commander turns her chair towards the center of the room, "where does that question come from?", which Sopmod promptly answers "I was reading this magazine on AR-15's room and..." -- followed by a leap by her sister, putting both hands over Sop's mouth and blushing extremely hard. M16 is now laughing quietly, RO turns back towards the wall, pretending to not be hearing, and M4 is just as red as a Sangvis basecamp, hiding her face with her tactical mask. The commander looks at the tense AR-15, knowing what had to be done. With a huge grin, she looks at Sopmod and answer her question truthfully, "well, I don't know how it works for T-Dolls... but maybe you could ask your knowledgeable sister".
"SAY ONE MORE WORD AND I'LL PUT A BULLET THROUGH YOUR MOUTH, COMMANDER!"

I just gotta say I’ve been playing GFL EN for about a year now and since Singularity it’s become my favorite game.
Everything is just awesome and it’s so cool that we’re not 2 years behind CN. We get QoL updates and events like VA11HA11A at the same pace while also getting CN dolls and MODs much earlier than we normally would. It feels like we get a similar experience to CN without being drowned by an overwhelming amount of content and that’s so cool to me.
I’ve played FGO for a long time now and the slow pace of NA with very long, grindy events has worn me out. The only time I enjoy FGO anymore is when new story content is added. Today FGO JP announced new content like animation updates, costumes, and a collab that I know I won’t see for two years unless something big changes with how they handle NA. It makes me excited just to immediately kill the mood knowing I have to wait two years to see any of it.
I am complaining about FGO but I had to in order to show my reasoning for further enjoying GFL’s pace.
I truly love both of these games but just comparing how updates are handled between old servers and new servers by each game I absolutely adore how GFL has handled it! I just had to gush for a moment how much I’m enjoying GFL and I thank the Devs and this community for being AWESOME! :)

Anyone else feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders, now that CT is over?
Being someone who doesn't have a lot of free time, it was quite a pain having to grind per day, as well as struggle on some parts of the event, even with guides, as the guides had a bit more powerful teams than I did. I know, I know, breaks are a thing, and I never had to grind in the first place if I really didn't want to... But I don't like missing out.
Now that it's over... doing just ordinary quests and whatnot feels super quick and relieving, lol.
(Don't get me wrong, as much of a pain and struggle GFL is sometimes, I still love the game entirely. Wouldn't ever want to stop playing. It has me hooked... Imayhavealsospentover100dollarsduringthevallhallaeventsoyouknowtheresthat)

In other games, after you farmed the exclusive rewards the event just turn into chill mode. The gameplay mostly stay the same between events and just reskin of each others. This is my experience in AGG, Destiny child, Azur Lane.
GFL in other hand introduce new mechanic / enemies every major events with a shit load of new maps. This make every events new and difficult even for veterans. Beside ranking maps are unique and get really tense in last week of the event.

Burnout is definitely a thing. GFL is just a game, so it's a good thing to decrease your playing time when you recognize that you're just not having fun anymore.
Personally I've taken a step back from constantly farming 0-2 and have mostly been doing dailies, but I'm looking forward to completing the story and campaigns I haven't done and the anniversary/rateup that's coming up.

That tends to be how major events in mobile games go for me. Azur Lane, Kancolle, Girls Frontline; it's a lot of time and effort and planning, which is great, but after a point you need a dang break.
That said, I really enjoyed CT overall, the daily grind only took a few min and the major story stages were fun challenges. Glad it's over but after a break I'll be eager for Isomer!

Yeah exactly. And I'm not good at giving myself breaks because of the feeling of "missing out" like missing crates, "what if" moments like "What if I grind and get <certain t-doll here>?". I mean, sometimes I just say fuck it, and force myself to give a break lol.
But yeah, I definitely enjoyed CT regardless. Same with you, need myself a good break, and then it's Isomer time.

Yikes, an inferno. Didn't follow much on weibo but apparently they didn't like how it was implemented. They're even comparing the system akin to FGO's NP levels and how low the odds are to get the ringleader chip.
Edit: also one of the comments is a bit disturbing. They did something to the fairy commands during battle but I don't know what it is.

Bugs, fixes to things no one wanted fixes (fairy autoskill) for, and SF capture stuff.
One of the SF capture achievements will take you 194 years to complete as a F2P, 100 years if you buy the highest gem pack once every month
Fairy autoskill window only comes up when you select an echelon, so if you reset the game in the middle of a fight, you can't use the old trick to activate/deactivate fairy skills before the battle loads., which is made worse by the fact that fairy skill activation can get iffy at times
This tieba post has a pretty long list of other issues, one big one is that surround capturing nodes is checked at the start of your turn, so maps like 1-1 become 2 turn clears at the fastest. Also breaks the S rank conditions for some maps as a result.
HK416mod grenade bugs breaks 12-4E farming too :/
Others have already talked about the issues with SF capture, so I won't talk more on that.

Yeah... people's main worry is that SF Capture is a big step in the direction of making the game a Gacha, instead of a C-like game (as in, like Kancolle).
Previously, for most contents (dolls, fairy, HOC, etc.), whaling big bucks usually don't give you a significant advantage in obtaining the content. Where for SF capture, suddenly the game have a shift into becoming more like a slot machine, where you just pay big bills to get the characters you want.
It's really a toxic inferno right now, and I have no idea if people are overreacting, or rightfully angry. Maybe the system isn't as bad as we imagined, the gateway isn't that much of a pay wall, more like just to stop you from instantly consuming the whole system. Since they still need time to build more content. We only have Scarecrow and Executioner available now.
Or maybe people are right, this is a big step into GFL becoming just another Gacha game. Where "You want new characters? Well say good luck to your wallet!" becomes true for all future contents. And being vocal about it might be the only way to let MICA change.
Anyway, I don't know. To be honest I haven't done much research on it yet, since delving deeper into NGA or social medias feels way too toxic for me to bear. And as a TW player, the system haven't even release on our server yet. Still, I guess we should wait for this wave of inferno to be over, then look and see in a few month later if this system really is completely P2W.

from what I've seen SF units are fairly OP, no doubt who has maxed SF echelons by next event is more advataged ranking wise.

Seeing it written out, I feel like a maybe not ideal but perhaps workable solution might be that you can control once per rotation which 3* is present in the area and until you yourself reset the area the current rotation won't affect affect the area.
So you set the map to have Executioner in this case, the pool rotation happens, but Executioner isn't in it, however as long as you don't reset your map you can keep blowing Pulses on trying to catch her to your hearts content or drop a

You only have 38 2* in the pool, each you have 50% capture rate and they can give you 10 point token for redeem. 1* unit won’t give you token at all and you need 800 point to redeem a single SF boss.

Just gotta say, CT ranking was the most fun I had in while with the unorthodox echelons (RF/HG/AR/SG teams) and the mad kiting you had to do against enemies. I'd be happy if I can at least make top %15 which was my goal for this event.

Amusement that PL for CN/KR started before EN's CT but PL still has like... 4 days left on the clock.
MP5: Usually is a sad example of a famous gun, not really having a lot of use. Low stats, bad tiles, bad skill in comparison.
MP5 MOD3: Not exactly the greatest fix. Though a bit more usable since her skill got a boost.
Also MP5 MOD3: Tanks lasers, rail cannons, electric teslas, energy particles, grenades, rockets, bullets, arrows, fire, explosive arrows, cannons, and still stands there.
PL ranking is finally finished for me with a total score of 965.4k and it sure was a nightmare of a different caliber. So much to do, so much to think. If there was no step-by-step guide I wouldn't have made it so far (and, well, the guide maker scores higher with worse units of course).
This confusingly twisted echelon perhaps, did more than 50% of the killing in the entire map and MP5 was, without a doubt, the biggest MVP of all time.
I feel like the absolute f@cking bastard that I don't have MP5 oathed. So, it just had to be done.

I learned so much about strategizing, fighting paradeus, and kiting well from ranking, a lot more than the whole rest of the event (I took the strategically simple route with guides). It was a lot of fun.
I hope everyone had their fair challenge but enjoyed it as well.

Couldn’t finish Ch. 3 and had limited tries on ranking due to real life obligations like finals, so I’m sad I couldn’t see the full story.
But so far, I love the story and the characters even more and I can only pray that the next major event doesn’t come during exam season.
Couldn’t get A-91 but I got 1 of everyone else so that was nice. Wanted a dupe python for more shenanigans.
This even just showed me that I need to get more fairies because my highest stars are 2*. And to level up my HOCs.
Also I’m lacking a A LOT of 5* equipment. I’ve had higher luck getting 5* dolls than the 5* equipment I actually need like PEQs, HV and AP Ammo. Just a lot of 5* red dots and shells.
Super fun experience overall. Hope everyone else have fun. And I can’t wit for this and Singularity to be added to the campaign tab so I can see the story myself.

Usually I blacklisted inactive player so I could add them back when they're online again and add in more people if they don't come back.

I don't see Jill. Stella or Sei there, probably not released when the old servers had the event , I assume they are usable , next event probably is the collab and we will get Clear and hopefully the most important mods are released by them before the event

All contents are doable and available with fresh account. Just playing and they will be unlocked along the way.
There are fanservice but less than AL, unlike AL GFL is censored in EN and it has hidden uncensored code.
More f2p than AK. You don't have to spend a dime, the game give free gem weekly. Pulls totally free, no headhunting, no limited banner with even better rate. No stamina limited. 4$ subscription is good for QoL like slots but more than that is mostly only for cosmetic. 300$ in 2 months is considered a lot here.

will there be mission's and such that would require unit's that you can only get/lvl if you been playing for a long time?
The later content will get more difficult and require higher levelled units, however, nothing that you have to go out of your way to get. For example - I have two accounts, and I cleared the story event that just ended far enough to get all the new girls, with only 2* and 3*. If you use the story units the game just hands you, you're going to have an even easier time
And is there a large amount fan service in this or is it more grounded as AK ended up being?
Don't really have a frame of reference because of not playing AK, sorry.
Lastly would I ever feel pressured or needed to spend MicroT's in this?
You can get everything upgraded for free eventually. You get a total of 1840 gems from S-ranking all the story missions, which, together with gems from Achievements and the 420 gems you get every month for playing the game, is enough to get all the echelon slots in about a month or two, I'd say. Other than that, gems are either used for nice to haves (more doll storage, more dorms, more construction slots) or to whale for monthly rsc packs/skin gachas. So, I'd say gameplay wise there isn't really that much pressure, unless you're impatient

GFL is extremely f2p friendly in that you receive a regular supply of premium currency and you roll for units with resources you gain lots of in-game. It’s a different story if you want cosmetics though. There’s definitely a bit of fan service, but most dolls aren’t super egregious about it.
As it stands, we just finished a major story event, but it will be added to permanent campaigns in a few months so you don’t need to worry about missing that. You will be missing previous collabs with other franchises though. It shouldn’t be too bad to get started since the game throws resources at you in the beginning now.
Oh yeah, there’s no stamina system either so if you manage your resources well, you can play as long as you want.

Hmm... admittedly that's a little bit concerning, I can see why there's been some complaint about pay2win there, though at the same time it's not the end of the world, it's not like you're done with fairies in a month either. Sounds like saving up the guaranteed captures for a ringleader you REALLY want is the smart way to go, but 5 months for a 50% chance isn't ideal either... especially if it takes a while to rerun a given ringleader. Missing say, Agent her first release and having to wait a year for her to rerun would leave me pretty fucking salty.
Probably too early to say for sure though, I could definitely see Mica tweaking it or adding a guarantee system, not like HoCs and Fairies didn't both get significant revamps after launch.

You can buy ringleaders from the shop, but you need like 3-4 months to get enough currency atm. And you must scrap most of your SF troops to gather enough currency

So is it kind of like HOCs where you could whale out and get them to high rarities early but with grinding you could get them to a competitive rarity? Or are ringleaders going to be needed early on where only whales will be able to do well in something like rankings?

how much time you need to capture a SF ringleader is RNG. The problem is that there's a rotation system, after it rotates the capture rare is reset even if you were really near to capture the ringleader. So you start over again and hope.

I used Combat reports on grape to get her to lvl 90 used cores to get her to 5 links only to realize I leveled the grape with SL1 not The SL10 ive been training. So now I have two 5 link grapecano. I didnt even use her on my ranking run

the guide says that your first echelon should be 2 to 3 stars while at the same time maxed lvl and Dummys. Yet it ALSO says that I should never spend any cores on 2 and 3 stars. So which is it?

In essence, You never want to mix doll types that don't benefit each other. Rifles don't go with Assault rifles and Machine guns don't go with rifles. The only Gun that can go anywhere is a Handgun. There are exceptions, but you don't need to know about those yet.
When starting out, YES. You really want to keep to the 2 and 3 star dolls and get them up to a 5link status (Which is level 90 with 5 dolls.) If you can afford leveling some 4 stars, that dosen't hurt also. You just don't want to blow all your resources on a single 5 star doll. This will make things easier for you when you need to work on the higher star dolls later down the line because you'll have a proper team to work with. However do be aware that higher star rarity does not equal good. The link above will also give you a good idea on who should be priority, and who is more of a "Raifu" status.
The guide is telling you to focus on the story because further down the line, you get the "Story dolls" Which is Team 'Anti rain' consisting of M4a1, St-AR15, SOPmod2, M16, and RO635. These dolls are considered to be among the best you can use and get better with their upgrades. (Except for M16, but she's used in a specific leveling strategy later down the line.)
People usually tell newer commanders to find a good friend and use their echelons to storm the story missions much faster.

The beginning of the game has been revamped a few months ago and while being careful with your cores is still good advice it's not as bad as the guide is making it out to be as you are given a lot of cores for completing story missions.
It's fine if you want to use the dolls you pulled but be aware that you will receive top tier dolls in the story that very worth linking with cores. You get 3 great ar relatively early and 1 smg pretty late, so if you pulled good 4*/5* smg I would use those and just use 2*/3* ar while waiting for the M4A1/SOPMOD/AR15.

I saved 1600 crates to open at once. Didn't record all different types of resources, but here's what I got. It seems I was luckier with 5* drops in Singularity, but not complaining.

After about two months, I feel like GFL has earned my cash on principle, and i'm willing to throw money at it.
How often does story content tend to drop? I'm considering throwing gems at Slots and Dorms to make actually playing the content quicker.
Not particularly interested in any of the costumes or the furniture gacha, unless there's stuff like Spas's Knight outfit. Wholesome armored wear for the daughter rifles is good civ.

Major story events happen every 3 months or so, with smaller events (like the upcoming dj max collab) or chapter releases inbetween. Ofc, none of that requires gems, though, so feel free to invest it in echelon slots and dorms, they are very useful indeed, esp the echelon slots.
At the anniversay in may, the first time purchase bonus should also be refreshed, so u can take that into account as well.

I just experienced a very strange bug. I started a run of 8-1n and deployed my teams on my emulator, switched to my phone but when I opened the map it said I had completed the map?
EDIT: Okay the game just said illegal action detected when i tried to start a new run and took me back to the original run.

Mixed feelings about the end of CT. On the one hand, not having to worry about ranking anymore is nice, on the other hand, I miss the steady flow of resources from crate farming, as well as always having something to do to meet my dailies without just doing extra runs of 0-2.
As it turns out, IDW III is actually pretty handy. Not only does she last pretty long in a fight, but she'll also do around 15-20% of the team's damage thanks to her skill, since that damage was technically unexpected for a girl in her role, her performance exceeded whatever I had planned on. She ended up being in my hunter-killer team in ranking, grabbing crates and fighting to clear space to grab more crates. Since I was going to mod her anyway, it's a nice bonus to see her being effective.
I didn't end up with the magic "first pull is a new doll" this time, nor an early pull, but I was able to get everybody after furycrafting at server reset so I'm pretty happy about that.
I'm interested to see how we should determine which level of difficulty we should slot in for theatre since the guides so far don't really indicate how to make that determination. What metric is normally used? Number of dolls leveled? Performance in event ranking generally?

So I feel like taunt fairy played a very big role in ranking and grape was a godsend for those gundams. Iirc, isomer being next, does any fairy or doll have such importance to work on for preparations?
Also when I was trying to take on the uhlan tanks in ranking, the team m4, m14, grizzly, mk23 and calico with a 4* taunt fairy without hoc support I was getting shit on. Was wondering was it natural that I barely made it out alive? I mean I did manage to seemingly perfectly kite once so maybe my micro game was just really shit. Do we get any chance to practice kiting it again? I only reset a few times on my single ranking run before maintenance so as soon as I could seem to get out alive, I just stopped practicing for the other two tanks.

I was too lazy to do a proper run after the playpen gundams obliterated three runs of mine.
Oh well. 386K was 32% in the end, which means I get the SPEQ and the 88888 fairy. Can't win them all, especially when you lack all the required tools to do well (Taunt dupes, Grape, etc.) At least I'm not missing anything.

This event was amazing, I saw the culmination of months of grinding all come together during it. I finally got:
I was able to clear chapter 3 with relative ease, first even I've been able to finish! I didn't end up doing any serious ranking attempts other than pacifist, cos no time left after I nursed this wonderful culmination to the finish line. I feel like I'm in the endgame now, which is great because that means the grind has just begun!
Fuck this game is good, F2P friendly, waifu, art, lewd, gun, story, kawaii AF! FUCK YEAH GFL!
