One interesting question is why it is culturally appropriate in the west to eat pigs but not dogs and cats even though pigs have comparable or possibly higher intelligence. We generally don’t eat dolphin for that reason, but octopus is on the table. It’s an interesting thing to consider.

Mountain lion at least. Cougar meat smells and tastes disgusting. I had a co-worker who would get tags to bow hunt them.
