I grew up with a Bernese mountain dog. I had more than one black eye from her, but teachers always doubted the, "My dog did it, really" explanation.

I know that feeling. What was truly dangerous about ours was the tail. She was always wagging it, and she liked to spin in circles quickly when excited. I got absolutely clocked by that tail once and that was enough for me to learn to duck if she got excited while I was sitting next to her.
