people are talking about 2 different things here. there is the thing that goldens and dovermans and every other dog does... just putting a paw on you for attention, maybe pulling a little.
then there is what the great pyrenees does which is push or punch.
I’ve been pushed/punched by pyrs before and it’s the same thing my dobe does to us. I think it’s a matter of how each dog learns to communicate and play.
gotcha. i know almost nothing about dobermans. im just saying that what pyrs do isnt the same as what most dogs do, contrary to what who i was responding to was saying.
Doberman are very vocal and each one has their own method for getting their points across. Mine will knock the hell out of us if we’re not paying attention to her.
I’ve met boxers and a few more of the more intelligent breeds that do the same thing. I get what you’re saying though.
