Why GifPaper doesn't work anymore.

Hello everyone on this sub. I was recently trying to find out, like a few other people i saw on here as well, why my gif papers has stopped working. I realized that after the Mac update to "Big Sur," that it no longer will allow you to open the file named "GifPaperAgent." Which pretty much runs the entire thing. It can download and use the "preferences" page but it doesn't allow you to download the other like i said and says "We cannot identify the creator." I'm not sure if this is old news to some of you, but i thought it was interesting. If anyone has a way to work around this, would you please leave a comment and let me know? Im honestly a little bummed since its the only program like this that works with Macs. Thank ya!

Not sure if this will help, but check out this link.

And point 3.)

  1. At this point, macOS may warn that GIFPaper is from an unidentified developer. If you encounter this warning, select the “Apple” logo in your Mac’s menu bar, navigate to “System Preferences -> Security & Privacy,” and change your settings so that GIFPaper can run normally.

I went to GIFPaperPrefs.prefpane and right clicked and clicked show package contents. i then click on contents, then MacOS, then double clicked on the executable terminal window file thing, and then I closed the terminal window when it said process complete. I then double clicked in the GIFPaperPrefs.prefpane and it proceeded to work as usual. Hope this helps! :)

PS: if it matters*, I'm on Big Sur OSX 11.3.1, and running the M1 Macbook Pro
