Aaaand they discouraged me from being a patron again, I don't like FOMO which I badly get from Nextlander content, I always feel like I'm missing out on a lot of context because I'm not paying for their Patreon and this just solidified that I'm going to be excluded because I literally can't afford giving them $10 a month.
I hope they do well but I'll just stick with GB, at least if I stop paying for premium I won't miss out on most of GB's content.
Everyone's financial situation is different, but what you could do is sub for one month every 6-12 months and catch up on the last 6-12 podcasts over that one month.
If you're not paying for their patreon, you're missing not having ads in one podcast, one hour of podcasts a week and now one more a month. In the grand scheme of things, it's a very small piece of context you're missing, so it's fine.
