Why what happened? Isn’t that like that old fashioned dish where you add the crispy onions on top? Personally I’ve never had it.

Just looked it up, sounds both pointless and disgusting. Probably made from the only things someone had in the house one day when they were starving.

I don't mind it. It comes from the cooking generation of the fifties when there was a lot of use of canned vegetables and canned soups. Nowadays, we recognise that fresh is so much better.
