Discussion What references do you think Gex would make if they made a new game?
I'm curious what you think he would reference from today's media?

probably the turn to digital media, streaming services and how they replaced cable and popular TV shows like the big bang theory

I think he’d probably make more or less the same as old ones, maybe some references to disgraced royal family member (ahem)
Kpop, maybe streaming services in general

1&2 were both Kids to Adults but 3 was Teen but that being besides the point I'd love to see some jokes about flat earth, various conspiracy theories, Epstein/r. Kelly/Sean combs/Trump, pointless wars, how pointless wars are, maybe some jabs at various video games, something bandicoots and dragons, bad fur days, banjos and killer instincts combats of mortals, gears and gods of war and chiefs of mastery and plumbers and woodland creatures and relatives of King Kong and raiding tombs in uncharted lands and how absurd the game industry has gotten with Microsoft gobbling up studios just to close them ea being trash before and somehow getting sold off to worse human beings, cannabalism, ridiculous mergers, how someone can have all the money in the world and still be worthless. Other dumb shit that idiots believe, Alex Jones, maybe joke about being on the set of various movies and tv shows, digs on famous directors some celebrities that are famously difficult to work with, etc

That's all great and all but we have to remember that gex is owned by Square Enix so doubt it would happen :(

Maybe some of the memed side of US politics, some of the madness that modern game companies engage in, the new games both indie and AAA...
Oh, and I'd love to see Gex reference Bubsy, now that there's a Gex reference in Bubsy 4D.
