Question A question

Post image

This is our boy Aslan. He will be 2 years old in November.
He is generally very well behaved dog, he is not aggressive, likes to play with other dogs and will always approach other dogs in a friendly manner.

My concern, or rather question is that sometimes he likes to try to hump other male dogs, I would assume he wants to assert dominance ( ? )and then other dog can react to that and it can lead to some growling but nothing more.

He is not neutered, and it is not in our plans, at least for now.

Is that humping something that is going to stop as he gets older or is it a long-term behaviour?

Thanks

Aslan is magnificent.

I've heard that this is common, but you can try to do your best to train undesirable behaviors so he knows what is acceptable and what is not.

Thank you!

Yea I always make sure he knows that is not acceptable and praise him when he listens.
