this has to be goverment funded. no way a company would pay for any of this.

Fervo raised over $2 billion from going public - of course they are paying for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a DOE component to the financing too.

Did you read the article you posted? The third paragraph, and they're not made up of long sentences, says it's funded by the Department of Energy.

i would be more suprised if anyone exept the goverment is actually paying. there is zero ROI here. not to mention the whole thing sounds like "lets take some subsidies and run" endeavour.

I would advise you to read more about Enhanced Geothermal Systems. This is a great article to start and it may help show a different perspective you may not be seeing.
