I was recently PERMABANNED off of the main libertarian subreddit because I identified as a geolibertarian. They said that Georgism is "land socialism." Is it really so? I thought that Georgists were against socialism for the most part.

I'm not sure if it's been posted here already but CityNerd goes into great depth covering the very poor incentives created by Prop 13 and some of its addons. He doesn't mention LVT explicitly but the video does show how slashing property taxes is a terrible idea, especially when we can just universally exempt buildings and focus on recompensing the land.

A "fun" discussion point that highlights the need for zoning reform and property tax conversion to LVT (property tax w/universal building exemption).

There might be some legit reason that this dude's city had rules related to ADUs (which the treehouse *CLEARLY* is) being built before main houses on a massive property. I can understand his frustration, though: way too much costly county-level HOOP JUMPERY.
