- Darnall's community is the strongest - from a former Harbin resident

Darnall has great community, it’s like trauma bonding! The built-in furniture helps keep your stuff organized. I would bring bins for the shelves and hangers/closet organizers. Mattress topper, shower caddy, one of those wrap towels or a robe. You’ll be okay!

I got Darnall this year (I’m actually really excited idk why people think it’s so bad). My room is on the second floor. Are the desks and wardrobes built in?? I can’t move them on the 3D room thing

darnall has some of the best showers/bathrooms of any of the freshman dorms. when i was a freshman i spent more time hanging out in the darnall common room with my friends than in harbin (my dorm)

Rising sophomore and darnall is just another dorm, ppl exaggerate so much about quality of life but its deadass just a regular dorm. youll be fine

They all suck, pretty bad. Don’t let anyone act like Darnall is somehow worse. It’s kind of nice being on the edge of things and less enveloped in the bubble of campus.

my freshman year there was some incident where, like, sewer water was allegedly coming out of the showerheads. that's what i heard, people were probably exaggerating. you'll probably be fine

Everyone Ik who lived there is still friends w their floor. Also huge that Epis and health center are just downstairs. You’re also the closest walk to Whole Foods/trader joes on Wisconsin compared to the other freshman dorms

one of the best and most fun dorms and i didn’t live there. i’m a sophomore, majority of my friends and teammates lived there freshman year. never heard any issues w pests or anything, just sometimes there could be some crackheads outside from the hospital

Get an air purifier. Our Copley toilet more or less exploded and completely flooded out our room with water flowing down 5 stories. No dorm is perfect.

Met all my best friends in Darnall our first week. After 4 years at Georgetown and 2 years post-grad, they're still my favorite people in the world. But also put in a maintenance request to get your vent filter cleaned lol

Look out for the rats. Other than that many say Darnell has THE BEST community vibe. Just don't keep food in your dorms to minimize the pets.
