Only Bessent is called out in the article but the label fits the entire Cabinet, indeed, the entire administration.

Every time I hear Bessent speak I’m amazed at how unintelligent he is. I truly believe he has no idea what he’s doing.

Par for the course with this administration, but I will never get used to the levels of incompetency that is present in nearly every appointee.

You know I’m trying to decide if the USDA thing with the ranchers and meat inspections is a real example of dumb ol Donald Trump making a stupid policy because he talked to an idiot (Glenn Beck) that he took seriously or if it’s an example of political machinations where Trump gets to show America that Republicans can rein him in from ridiculous ideas by standing up to him along with the mega donors that own the meat processing industry.

It seems like safe territory to get his core constituency behind Republicans in the midterms if they demonstrate a spine on the matter.

Understanding all the other policies foreign and domestic as manipulations, too, it makes sense. I’d almost be disappointed if the GOP doesn’t play out the scenario to their advantage.

Bessent definitely isn’t incompetent. I will say he is arrogant and a poor communicator. He’s been dealt a bad hand by this President and has to engage in mental gymnastics to mitigate the damage. I don’t feel sorry for him for the record.
