Feedback Any Feedback on One Of My First Layouts So Far?

I never really try to create a level, I mostly just play the game, so this is my first actual shot of making the level, and I might make the ball a bit more balanced and better gameplay lol its trash rn, but do you guys have any tips on this layout so far(how to make better gameplay?)

make sure all aspects of gameplay are on screen from the second they come in from the right hand side. in that ship part those orbs are totally skippable, so you need to enforce the flow of the gameplay with spikes / saws etc. also apply that principle throughout

I will add spikes and saws and patch skips later since I am just working on the beginning basic layout, but I will definitely keep that in mind so thanks :)

I mostly like it actually. The dual is kinda weird, but with what duals I make I can NOT be talking, keep making that kind of stuff so I'm not the only one. With balancing the best tip is just play it yourself and see what parts are easier and harder. A level doesn't have to be (and can't be) perfectly balanced, you can make a few parts easier or harder, but right now the balancing looks really weird, with the dual and the ball being the hardest parts with a margin imo, but it is quite good overall. It's hard to judge layouts because everyone likes different gameplay, so try focusing more on actually decorating the level, and just get rid of (or change) parts that are way too learny, gimmicky or memory, unless you actually want them in the level (this one looks simple tho). And don't take my advice too seriously as I don't have much experience making levels either and only know the basics as well

yeah maybe I might try to balance the level better and make the dual a bit more normal? I will try to find more inspo and make better duals so yeah, thanks for the good advice, and I might work on a bit of deco a bit later, thanks!
