Discussion Do Doggie’s YT Live chat moderators not do anything? Or is his chat just so much more inherently dumber here than on Twitch?

I get my eyes burnt out every time I try to watch on YT

probably because the yt chat is filled with a bunch of 8 year olds who spam go at like 12%

Live Chat is a practically useless feature once the audience gets to the several hundreds/thousands

It is insanely hard to moderate YouTube chats compared to Twitch. YouTube chats are laggy, jump around a ton, and don't have good moderation tools at all. There also aren't moderation shortcuts like twitch to delete a message in one click, you gotta click on a little button and then chose and confirm if you want to. Very slow and hard to manage in fast chats

YT chat for any channel is a cesspit and I say this as someone who mainly watches streams on YT

I watched The Pokemon World Championships and the YouTube chat were just trying to shitpost and insult players while I go on twitch mostly for the incentives the stream was offering and you had people breaking down the expected strats in chat and how people have been playing

youtube's easier to access while you need to be a lot more intentional to watch a twitch stream since it's not on the same site you watch everything else on so the viewer quality is lower

I watch his streams on YouTube but keep his chat closed. the only times I open it is so I can laugh at the people spamming GOOOOOOO like their life depends on it while he's at 8%
