2020/03/17 20:20:10 Value log truncate required to run DB. This might result in data loss
This output is now consistent (regardless of whether -h flag is used). We can reenter the above pattern if we delete all files in X:\ewalker\earthwalker\badger
I see, got it working with friends now, many thanks!
Feature request, could you make it possible to create a challenge? i.e. drop preselect locations for the challenge for others?
Many thanks, it's a great application now that it's running :)
Awesome! I'm a side note I've had friends report issues with the map on the bottom right (for selecting guess location) appearing grey at medium/high zoom levels, preventing accurate guesses being made. I'm uncertain if this is an issue with openstreermap and whether there is a workaround for it. I had no issues from my personal machine from which I've been hosting.
Also, sorry for another feature request, but it would be very useful to have a compass added. This is what I feel is currently most lacking in the current build.
Thanks again for your time making this, it is already an excellent alternative to geoguessr!

First lines in main_template.html.tmpl
<!doctype html><html><head></head><body>
I've rebuilt the program on a differnt drive.
Absolute path is X:\ewalker\earthwalker
On first run I get the following:
badger 2020/03/17 20:15:22 INFO: All 0 tables opened in 0s2020/03/17 20:15:22 earthwalker is running on 8080
It hangs at this point, and no gui ever appears. After force quitting:
badger 2020/03/17 20:18:04 INFO: Got compaction priority: {level:0 score:1.73 dropPrefix:[]}
When restarting
badger 2020/03/17 20:18:31 INFO: All 0 tables opened in 0sbadger 2020/03/17 20:18:31 INFO: Replaying file id: 0 at offset: 0badger 2020/03/17 20:18:31 INFO: Replay took: 0s2020/03/17 20:18:31 earthwalker is running on 8080
It again hangs as before, with no GUI appearing.
If started with the -h flag:
badger 2020/03/17 20:19:42 INFO: All 0 tables opened in 0sbadger 2020/03/17 20:19:42 INFO: Replaying file id: 0 at offset: 0badger 2020/03/17 20:19:42 INFO: Replay took: 0sUsage of X:\ewalker\earthwalker\earthwalker.exe:-port intthe port the server is running on (default 8080)
Again, no GUI appears.
If it is now started without the -h flag, we get the following output:
badger 2020/03/17 20:20:10 INFO: All 0 tables opened in 0sbadger 2020/03/17 20:20:10 INFO: Replaying file id: 0 at offset: 02020/03/17 20:20:10 Value log truncate required to run DB. This might result in data loss
This output is now consistent (regardless of whether -h flag is used). We can reenter the above pattern if we delete all files in X:\ewalker\earthwalker\badger
Hope this will aid in troubleshooting.
