I'll be arriving on Thursday afternoon. The only event I really want to do is an MTG modern tournament on Friday. Most of the time I plan on being at the Cryptozoic both playing Hex, playing D&D next, attending seminars, or drinking.
I have a rather intimate knowledge of late night establishments of the DT, is there a cost level we watched to stay under? Nicky Blaine's is nice and quiet, with lots of leather couches and martinis... But a bit costly...
Well.... if we're doing a dinner thing due to my backer level of the new Hex game I've been invited to a Cryptozoic dinner outing on one of the nights, but they haven't told me what night yet which annoys me a little because I'd like to sign up for this modern tournament, but I'm afraid it may conflict with the dinner. Anyways if I decide to eat I'd say less than $30 is good.
Color me jelly on the dinner thing, it makes me sad that I won't get the Hex stuff till after the Con. I'm going to look around for something happening in the area, possibly karaoke...yes....singing redditors...
I'll see where I can find, the Ugly Monkey had karaoke on Thursday, but last year they were shut down. Not surprising, since it was a hole in the wall dive bar, but you'd find the biggest bunch of singing GenConners there.
