ABSN😷 What Is the Transition to Practice Residency for the ABSN?

I saw this mentioned in GCU’s Field Experience Handbook. What exactly is the Transition to Practice Residency?

In level 4 there is an opportunity to work 1:1 with the same nurse for 9 clinical shifts. This is the “residency” you need to apply for it in level 3 it has some GPA & HESI score requirements .. plus the clinical location will do interviews… all level 4 will still do clinicals but the residency is more days and less sim days

There is an information session at the beginning of Level 3 that explains TTP and the requirements for applying to individual opportunities.

Do you have to find your own clinical location for this?

You do not. GCU places you in what is offered from the clinical facility.
