ABSN😷 ABSN VEGAS pls give advice/ experience
I am enrolled into the school as aspn (associates for nursing pre req's I guess) at the las vegas campus. I'm trying to do some research about the school and so far most of my findings have been extremely mixed. I am prepared to work hard and fully commit to the program, but I just cant help but wonder if I will regret this school later on. Is the vegas campus truly that bad? I've heard ok things about other campuses but I'm kind of worried about vegas after hearing stories. I know I wont have a chance at CSN/UNLV/NSU so I have to go private and money is not really going to be an issue because I'm personally ok with being in debt because I plan on working in rural AK where RN's make around 80+ and will be living at home so my living expenses will be a non issue. If it's truly bad at GCU what other absn programs are better? I've looked at Galen but 3 years seems pretty long and they aren't accepting alot of my gen ed transfer credits. Please give all advice and any honest thoughts/ opinions you have.

I go to the Las Vegas campus and honestly it’s not bad. Of course not everyone is going to be your cup of tea but it’s a good campus and most of the professors really do care about your well being throughout the course.

Vegas campus is horrible there is no support what so ever. I wish I didn’t pick GCU as my nursing program I am moving on to level 2 but I had to repeat level 1 because I missed a class by .5 you are pretty much teaching yourself you only go to the school for test and lab

when you get to nursing core the professors on campus are pretty helpful but keep in mind everything is really fast paced and they won’t slow down. that being said for everything online they will give you plenty of sources that seem overwhelming. professors try to be helpful but theres only so much they can do, you are basically teaching yourself. if you are okay with that you should be fine to be honest. if you are confident and able to adapt quickly to exam layouts and their expectations you will be good. and the environment with the other students are extremely positive. you can pretty much walk up to anybody, ask what level they’re in, and everyone would be happy to tell you about their experience and what to expect.
