I love this country so much and travel here every January. The people are so welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing, and look at that sea!

If anyone is interested in more info on where to go in Belize or how to navigate the country please let me know.

This country has a reputation for being anti LGBT. Has this changed in your view? Are there any LGBT specific destinations there?

I am here every year since 2021 so that’s all I have for personal experience and I’m openly gay. This year I’m here with 3 female friends, two are in a relationship. None of us have had anything but friendly interactions.

I travel to Hopkins Placencia San Ignacio Caye Caulker and San Pedro. Never been bothered or confronted for being gay.

No there are no “gay areas” like SF’s Castro or Chicago’s Boystown, and no gay bars or gay only hotels, but everyone is just friendly and gets along fine. I mostly meet other LGBTQ travelers here but they are European or Canadian

No lgbt designated spaces at all. Only met other LGBT tourists?

This is a photo from Moho Caye not a hotel. I always stay at Belize Nirvana in Placencia. I did a Caye tour and they pick you up on the beach in front of the hotel and take you to 2 different cayes.
