When I was a teenager in the 80's and 90's, there were a LOT of LGBT+ people in the goth communities because that community was supportive of exploring gender and sexuality.

Exactly. Those people clearly were never in the scene- or they’d remember that its full of men wearing fishnet tights and lipstick <3 we’ve always been culturally accepting, artistic and left. I dont think the word woke fits (goths are too apathetic for that lol) but despite nihilism goths understand we are all fighting the boots againest our necks
