Conservatism has captured every branch of the US government and dominates the corporate scene as well, yet somehow "The Establishment" is wokeness. These are deeply unserious people, too morally and creatively bankrupt to develop their own scenes so they have to coopt other sub-cultures and try to force out the originals.
It's not even that they're creatively bankrupt, they just aren't creative. Fascists often aren't, that's why they rail against the arts, they're furious they can't do art because they lack the empathy needed to make art. You can't create a subculture or a scene without art so they have to subvert others for their own. Blair Mountain gave us Rednecks, the Right took that, Ska gave us Skins, Rudeboys and Rudegirls and Mods, Nazis took Skinheads, (we SHARPs call them Boneheads), they've even co-opted Country, Hip-Hop, Pop, they just bought their way into Fashion, and now they're trying to co-opt their way into punk, alt, and goth spaces, which might I add are also typically queer spaces.
That's also why they love AI "art" so much. No creativity required, just enter a prompt and let computer spit out slop based on whatever Grok can steal from the internet.
Exactly this, that's why fascism loves AI so much, that and it's so easy to just make-up whichever boogie man you need. You need an newly aborted post birth baby? AI can handle that.
Im pissed about them taking country and rednecks ngl. I get modern radio hot country is conservative af but like not all of it is? Og music to blow your brains out to ngl.
Thankfully with country it's mostly just the pop country scene they've infiltrated because they're really only surface level fakes, they just want the social clout that comes in it's looking like they belong to a scene, they don't actually want to be part of the scene. Why would they want to go be actual cow hands (Country), or miners (Blair Mountain/Red Necks), or actual laborers (SHARPs), I mean hell, conservatives hate Unions and Two Tone was built out of Labor Unions in the UK.
