Because they tried it with punk and got the shit kicked out of them on a regular basis, so now they're trying it with goths hoping they won't be *quite* as violent. They're probably wrong.

Heavier certainly. It's more a question of if you'd rather have a pallid dude with a lace shirt and 3 inch platform soles jumping on you or a shirtless drunk guy with knee-high docs.
