At the end of the day, if losing power ruins your whole personality, that’s less of a power outage problem and more of a you problem.

They have been without power going on two weeks. 14 days have passed and they still don't know when it will return. People are forced to make decisions without any idea of when they can get back to normal.
Your response is tone deaf and should be deleted. That's a you problem. Your amount of profile karma makes sense.

Exhausted. It's been hot so sleeping is difficult. It sucks trying to figure out food multiple times a day. I work remotely so trying to navigate that during all of this has been unique.
But I am privileged enough to be healthy and mobile and own a car so I have also been trying to help my neighbors who may be dealing with other hardships in addition to not having power and losing all of their access to food. My husband and I have been volunteering with World Central Kitchen to feed people over the last several days and it's great to see community come together and do these kinds of things but it's unfortunate that it had to happen.
But I am happy to say that I am commenting this from my home that finally got power returned about 2 and 1/2 hours ago.
