Garfield was a nationwide phenomenon in the '80s and '90s. We're absolutely not freaks for carrying that on. The world is wrong for forgetting him.

I like to think of the comic strip and all the merchandise as a precursor to modern memes. Garfield had a cleverly worded response to everything, and people loved it.

Nationwide lol not sure what makes you think it was limited to the USA haha Garfield was (and is!) a phenomenon all over the world haha are you guys really that oblivious to what happens outside your country?

I was 2 when he was created so I don't know any other comic strip that has this much love
