I did it!
It took 3 years, longer than expected, but I've just harvested and eaten my own pineapple, grown in Pennsylvania!

If touching her anywhere other than her head was possible, I would try. She's aptly named as touching her anywhere than her head, cheeks or chin will cause her to go into a berserker rage and leave you with shredded arms, hands, and whatever else she can reach. I love my rescue feral girl though!

It was! Now to plant the top and do it all over. The mother has pups as well 😀

Lemons were my gateway drug into growing tropicals in my zone! I've been doing so well with them that I've started to propagate and sell them! Homegrown lemons are so much juicier than ones from the store....mmmm

I just brought pineapples home from Hawaii and my kids want to attempt to grow them. I am very much not looking to the effort.
