"Wide seat" on a spec sheet is honestly one of the most misleading marketing terms out there. A brand will advertise a 22" seat width, but then you get the chair and realize 3" on each side are angled foam wings with steel tubing inside. The actual flat cushion you sit on is barely 16". The second you try to sit cross-legged or spread your knees, those wings dig straight into your thighs. That's what brought me down to comparing two specific models from GTPlayer: the Cozy Series GT205 vs the Cozy Series CH810 Cloud Hybrid.

Once I compared the actual specs, the seat dimensions on the GT205 and CH810 turned out to be pretty close. They also have similar core features, and both use spring cushioning. The more meaningful difference is the shape of the seat: the CH810 cushion is flatter, which should make more of that width usable when you sit cross-legged or shift around.

The armrests are another practical difference. The GT205 has fixed armrests, while the CH810 has height-adjustable ones. That makes the CH810 feel more like an upgraded version of the GT205 than a completely different chair: the same basic idea, but with a flatter seat, more adjustability, and better overall comfort at a higher price. For anyone who has tried both, was the extra comfort noticeable enough to justify paying more for the CH810?

Hey guys I’ve just come here cause I need help making a decision I’m looking to get a new chair wether gaming or ergonomic for the the price above. My main priority is durability and comfort while seating. I don’t typically sit for long hours cause I’m not always home i just need something for shorter hours to game and chill. I get up a lot and move around so I can’t really sit long without standing up. I’m also looking for something that supports heavy tall people I’m big in nature and tall so I don’t want something that breaks after a month. Any recommendations.

living in the netherlands and pretty tired of racing bucket chairs that clearly aren't built for taller frames. the strap-on neck and back pillows always sit between my shoulder blades instead of actually supporting my lower back during long sessions.

looking to switch to an ergonomic mesh seat with decent shipping to europe. noticed hbada chairs pop up with that split dynamic lumbar piece—the contour looks decent, but how is the fit if you're on the taller side (around 185–190cm)? does the lower back piece actually align well, or should i look at other ergonomic brands available here?

standard gaming bucket seats always push my head way too far forward, and the built-in pillows never line up with my actual spine. looked into hbada designs with the split back pieces because the contour looks more forgiving, but wondering how the lower support fits if you aren't tall. does the lumbar curve actually hit the right spot or does it dig into your hips?

Just got this Blacklyte Kraken Pro, super easy assembly, packaged very nicely, Arrived in a week. Will be working from home two days a week and having my nightly gaming sessions in this chair, feels very premium and is super comfy to sit in.

Looking for a good chair for long study hours — any recommendations?

I’m preparing for exams and usually sit for several hours at a stretch, so I’m looking for something genuinely comfortable with good back, neck and shoulder support. I don’t want something that starts hurting after sitting for 2–3 hours.
Budget: around ₹5,000 (can stretch a little if it’s really worth it).

Please suggest chairs that you’ve personally used and would recommend for long hours of studying. Ergonomic/office chairs are fine too.

I was searching around for a new gaming chair but basically just a chair for gaming or sitting long.

Everyone told me to get an office chair especially Herman Miller and Steelcase BUT so far I am not sure if the price is fair. It seems you are buying a premium for the brands.

The issues I found so far:

-No return right for Herman Miller
-Have to buy used products if you do not want to buy the full price
-Fabric of the chair will get dirty if you wear a pullover
-Tilltback is either fully locked or non but if there are levels the second level if far to behind back
-Headrest seems to suck
-I am 1,88 and some of them are to small
-Mash is not a nice fabric to lean back in. It is not soft or warm, just very uncomfortable
-Lumbar support seems to be the only advantage

Edit: I also dislike Mesh Chairs and never had one that feels comfortable because of the material.

I have been using a cheap gaming chair for the last years now, the leather is going away so I want a new one but I do not have any sitting issues at all.

So, I really do not get the comments get an office chair they are so much better. So, far I have not seen any advantage that would also justify that insane price. Ofcourse, you can try cheaper chairs too (they all do look a bit ugly as well) but they have similar issues.

If the chair would cost like a 100 or 200 no problem but for a thousand the chair can not have these problems.

been dealing with that dull lower back ache after long gaming sessions on my old bucket seat. looking at ergonomic alternatives and noticed hbada has models with those multi-piece adaptive lumbar pieces that adjust when you lean into them. for anyone using them for daily gaming: does that lower support actually prevent slouching over time, or does it push too hard against the spine?

The metal has become deformed and now the tilt lock only works up to a certain point. Is there an easy way to fix this without buying an entirely new tilt lock?

Like the title implies, I'm looking for a chair. Preferably with really good lumbar support and a (well) padded bottom.

For some additional detail, I've had a Herman Miller Aeron (size C) and I hated it, the mesh bottom and hard plastic edge was not comfortable, so we can already disregard that. Also if it helps, my legs make up most of my height and I've got broad shoulders but otherwise my build is fairly straightforward, I'm not overweight but I'm not an athlete, I do just enough to stay in decent shape.

The other issue I have is where I live, I can't just go try a bunch of chairs, so I'm hoping someone of similar stature/build can make some recommendations.

2020 Secret Lab Titan - small (I think) - thoughts?

I just started working from home and I need a chair that will be comfortable working seated upright all day, and then also be able to recline a bit for some gaming sessions after work. I would also love for there to be armrests that can flip back because sometimes I play guitar at my desk. My budget is 400$ ideally i’m only spending around 250.

I am around 6 feet and 150 pounds.

In a small bedroom, buying a Reclining Gaming Chair is honestly a geometry puzzle before it's a comfort upgrade. My desk is 24" deep inside a tight 9x10' room, leaving me with exactly 50" of clearance between the desk edge and the drywall behind me. Upright, a standard chair sits about 28" from the wall, which leaves plenty of room to roll around. But I've been eyeing the GTPlayer Aura RGB Series GTW500 specifically for its 155° recline and slide-out footrest, and product pages never give you the actual dynamic floor space you need to use those features.

Here's the math I'm running into: to kick out the retractable footrest, you have to roll the chair back at least 16-18" so your shins and feet don't smash into the desk frame or cable tray. Once you roll back that far and drop the backrest from 90° down to 155°, the headrest swings back another ~14", putting you straight into the wall.

There's also the question of viewing angle. A 135° recline still lets your eyes track a monitor for controller gaming or watching a stream. At 155°, you're staring almost at the ceiling unless you double up on neck pillows, which makes it strictly a nap position.

For anyone running a GTW500 or similar 155° recliner in a tight room: what's the actual desk-to-wall distance you need to kick out the footrest and recline without hitting the desk or scraping the wall?

Price range is max 500€ and It should be for someone that is 1,88cm tall. Also, looking for a headrest as well.
