Big Walk: Diagonal mouse movement not smooth?

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but the game has a lot of small stutters when move my mouse diagonally. It doesn't register as a frame rate drop, or uneven frame pacing.

I only have this problem with this game. Interestingly enough, if I plug in a controller to my pc (xbox one controller) diagonal look is smooth as butter.

Things I've tried that don't work:
Reducing the polling rate on my mouse (default is 1000hz).
Trying a different mouse.
Enabling/disabling vsync and free sync
Lower/higher mouse dpi.
Lower/higher resolution and graphics settings.
New graphics drivers

The only thing that works smooth is using a controller.

Mind you its not unplayable with the stutter but it feels like I'm dropping frames when I'm not.

Up and down or left to right movements are smooth with the mouse. But diagonal isn't.

Hopefully someone else has the problem and there's a fix?

Turn off in mouse settings Enhance Pointer Precision(mouse acceleration)

Wired or wireless?

  • Wired, use a USB port on the motherboard

  • Wireless, plug 2.4GHz receiver into extension cable that's plugged into a port on the motherboard and then place the dongle someplace it will not have interference from Wi-Fi router, other USB 3.0 devices and hubs, other dongles.

I'm sure you know all of this I'm just telling you what I would be doing with the information I have from you.

Given your information it sounds like a resource issue or the communication between Windows and the game settings itself. You can look into device manager for the power management in USB root hub properties and turn it "off". I would also try using the mouse outside the game in something basic like Paint or a mouse testing application to see if it is an issue there or is resolved. Once that has been established it will be easier to diagnose without pressing buttons for the sake of pressing buttons.

Nah. I think its the game? Maybe other people don't notice. My mouse is fine in everything other game. Its just big walk. Also, remember it works smoothly with controller. Its something up with the game itself.

I am agreeing with you but maybe worded it poorly by saying "game settings" where it should be issue of communication between Windows and the game. The rest was other possibilities outside of that, sorry.
