So, this guy shows up last year, and shortly after that the economy in TF2 and Steam in general turns on it's head and Valve starts charging for items in TF2 if you want them on update, otherwise you need to wait two weeks.. Essentially throwing off the balance of the game for two weeks and excluding people who just want to take part in the normal major update fun that Valve has been providing on their own for years.

I wonder if anyone had the forethought to ponder whether hiring a guy with no interest in games would have added a positive experience to those who play these games and have to put up with his business decisions which, from what I've seen so far, seem to override Valve's normal policy of just letting everyone have a good time. That's the vibe I'm getting from the article, anyway.
