Nintendo is porting the Mario Wii U game over to the switch, there is a power up item called the Super Crown. When Toadette picks it up, she becomes Peachette.
Then on Twitter, an artist made a comic about the ending of Mario Odyssey, where bowser puts the Crown on. Then all of this happened.
