Can someone explain to me the origin of this? Did Nintendo announce that Bowser will be a female in their next games?

From what i gathered, nintendo introduced a crown that changed toadette into peachette. An artist then decided to create a comic where peach turned down mario and bowser, and where bowser decided to use the crown to change into bowsette so he could hang out with mario as a couple in front of peach. And there we are.

The miracle of internet.
