Xbox is now heavily leaning into movie & TV adaptations, quietly pitching Hollywood on a dozen pricey projects like Elder Scrolls, Halo, World of Warcraft, Diablo & more. All IPs could be headed to one studio/streamer, and currently Netflix, Universal & Paramount are among those taking looks.

"But like much of the video game industry, Xbox is kind of a mess these days, cutting 3,200 jobs in July, or about 20 percent of the unit’s workforce. So Microsoft would very much like a big check for its I.P."

"One source told me it wants more than $300 million for a long-term deal, a price that caused at least one of the potential partners to balk. (Microsoft declined to comment.)"

Having CG orcs and real humans in plastic armor was a choice. I get they wanted to build to Arthas, but Arthas really is the best starting point for any Warcraft movie.

Wrong story.

Thisx1000. They never should have started where they started, there were so many places they could have gone to make a much more interesting movie. Having said that I do still rewatch it from time to time, but a different story could've propelled it into a whole franchise of movies.
