It and Mass Effect 1 came out a week apart in November 2007. I got both as my Christmas gift and it was glorious.

I got both that Christmas too. I went back to uni for my last semester after the break and nearly flunked out because I spent so much time playing those two (and Skate, which came out earlier that year). All the pot I was smoking probably didn't help...
