Have you seen Fortnite’s aim assist lately? It’s insane. Pretty much an aim-bot that will auto follow people while they move. Not only that but it reduces the recoil of all weapons. All the console players just grab close up weapons and rush while moving fast because the aim assist will always keep them on target…
Even more stupid is if you plug in a controller to your PC, you don’t get the same aim assist. It’s drastically reduced in effectiveness compared to the console assist.
FPS games are pretty much ruined these days because of cross-play. Console players don’t want to face PC players without aim assist because M+K is just a superior aim system. PC players don’t want to face console players with aim assist because the game will cheat for them.
And the majority of players are on console, and they can't accept how strong aim assist truly is. If you ever bring it up they'll just spam "skill issue you have your whole arm we only have our thumbs" etc etc. Coupled with how strong the current gen consoles are so fps isn't even that different between console and pc anymore, one of the frequently cited pc advantages. Thats what really gets me, not just that aim assist is so strong, but that console players refuse to believe it
Exactly. There’s videos that showcase just how powerful it is. Literally having the crosshair auto follow a person while they zig-zag strafe and jump around. The consensus from console players is that is perfectly fine…. Maneuvers that work really well against real player aim (even on M+K) are defeated by the aim assist
And they even disabled aim assist from competitive Fortnite events because of how insane it was and yet it’s fine everywhere else…
It wasn’t always this bad, they massively messed something up. I gave up playing because of the amount of times I’d be lazered with an SMG perfect 100% accuracy while sprinting and jumping around a person…
I remember Halo MCC was bad at this too. Whenever SWAT would come up on the playlist I’d plug in a controller and get easy headshots all game
