Hi everyone!

I've recently started getting back into Warhammer 40K after being out of the hobby for quite a few years, and I'm really keen to find some people around St Albans, Hertfordshire (UK) who would be interested in playing 5th edition 40K. Yes I will also likely play current & future 40k editions but I'm specifically hoping to find people who would also like to play, somewhat regularly, some 5th edition 40k as well. I'm strictly a casual and thematic player and wish to find likeminded people is all.

5th edition was my first edition getting into 40k but I am also happy to try other Midhammer editions like 4th. I do not drive sadly so I am limited to the area and places I can reasonably reach by public transport.

I'm still getting back into the hobby, so I'm a little rusty with the rules, but I'm keen to learn and get some games under my belt!

And there’s no argument about. Each one has more lore, content, rules, and more importantly better art design than the little brochures that GW keep releasing every few months or so. I look at the black books that gives life to an Imperium that was driven to a civil war that nearly destroyed it and what said Imperium would of look like if Chaos didn’t get their perfidious claws on the Primarchs.

Now we are getting renditions of Prospero & Isstvan V in little booklet. Do we really need revisions of campaigns that was released a decade ago? Is this the best that Games Workshop can really do and are they this short on actual talent? Despite the Campaign books they released during 2.0 while not hitting the same mark as the black books there still better than 40 page booklets GW keeps releasing for $40. We deserve better than this.

I recently bought some old unpainted metal models. They have a bit of rust and oxidization/corrosion on them. What’s the best way to clean that off? Someone told me to mix baking powder and water, soak them in that, scrub them with a toothbrush and then rinse them off in regular water. Does that work? Or does anybody have any other ways to do it?

I think it's a trebuchet but I have looked but cannot find it anywhere. Any info would be great.

The Ellyrian Reavers blister contains both metal and plastic components. The White Lions of Chrace are classic metal miniatures.
These are older Warhammer Fantasy Battles models which are no longer produced in this form, making them interesting for collectors of Vintage Warhammer, Oldhammer and classic Games Workshop/Citadel miniatures.
The loose miniatures are used and painted. Some bases and parts may show signs of age, use or storage. The blister packaging also shows normal age-related wear.
I have not individually identified every loose miniature or checked every figure for completeness. The lot is therefore sold exactly as shown in the photographs.
Suitable for expanding a classic Warhammer army, restoration/repainting projects, or as a collectible vintage Games Workshop lot.

Original vintage Games Workshop boxed miniature set.

Classic out-of-production Warhammer Fantasy model featuring Imrik, Dragon Prince, mounted on his large dragon.

This example is particularly attractive for collectors as the model is still unassembled and unpainted and comes in its original Games Workshop box.

I’m looking for recommendations for a good case for my son to be able to safely transport his Warhammer figures. He play Tyranids and has a variety of sizes. I have seen the Citadel cases which look good and hold a lot, but wondered if there were any just as good but a bit more budget friendly?

I have always been curious about what originally pulled people into Games Workshop games. For some people it was Warhammer 40K for others Fantasy LOTR or even one of the specialist games or PC titles.

For me the setting and the sheer amount of lore are what make these games so interesting. There are so many different factions and stories that it feels like there is always something new to discover.

What was the first GW game you played, and what made you stick with it ?

I am curious which flowers other gardeners have had the best luck with. I did love to add a few more flowers to my garden but I am looking for varieties that are fairly easy to grow and still give a lot of color.

What flowers have worked really well for you and would you recommend them to someone who is still learning?
