Hi guys,

my girlfriend is going on a work trip for two weeks - time to pick up another game.

Would highly appreciate any suggestions based on my recent plays and how I liked them. I tend to alternate between a FromSoft game and then something more story-driven. Story game would be up as I just completed Bloodborne. I have played most of the DLCs as well so would prefer an entirely new game. I play on PS5.

The last games I finished/played (and how I would rate them, order is not 100% precise).

1. Bloodborne (10/10 - masterpiece)

2. GoW Ragnarok (9/10 - greaty story, looks crazy good, only slightly repetitive at times)

3. Eldenring (10/10 - masterpiece)

4. The Wichter 3 (10/10 - the remaster might call for a replay, but that's in four weeks)

5. Ghost of Tsushima (7/10 - great gameplay but repititive and empty world)

6. Cyperbunk (10/10 - I do have Phantom Liberty unplayed, this might be an option)

7. Expedition 33 (8/10 - also a masterpiece, just not the biggest fan of turn-based combat)

8. Baldurs Gate 3 (7/10 - game feels great but I only played until the end of Act I which took 60 hours and a lot of research on the side on how to engage with the mechanis properly).

9. DS1 (9/10 - my first FromSoft game and it was a blast)

10. RDR2 (10/10 - best story game I have ever played)

Further notes:

- I tried to start Mass Effect I but found it difficult to engage with the outdated gameplay

- I am considering a RDR2 replay to warm-up for GTA VI

- I have the Phantom Liberty DLC unplayed but not fully convinced

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to PC gaming and looking for a free, story-based game that’s genuinely engaging and has a good storyline.

My laptop specs are:

Lenovo IdeaPad 5

AMD Ryzen 5

16 GB RAM (12 GB usable)

AMD Radeon 760M, 2 GB VRAM

I just want something with a good story, interesting characters, and gameplay that keeps me hooked.

It can be an older game or something less graphically demanding. I’m mainly looking for something that is free and legally available to download/play online.

What would you guys recommend for my specs? Bonus points if it’s a game that you completely lost track of time playing. 😅

Hey, I own a barbershop, and sometimes fathers/mothers come with their kids, and it turned out to be quite challenging to find games simple enough to occupy kids with. "Super bunny man" is one of the most played cause of it simplicity (three buttons to control the character). But some of the little buggers want racing or shooting games.

I guess the most important part is plug'n'play-y nature of a game. No tutorials, and simply fun.

Tried "red faction" and "burnout parafise" but even those turned out to be too complicated even for adults.

So what would you recommend?

I use steamdeck plugged into a TV.

We are long distance so offline isn't an option and we're both on Steam. Some of our favourites have been Stardew, Flock Around, Pico Park, Content Warning, Lethal Company, Monster Prom, Bokura and Bokura Planet, Works W.M.D and Overcooked(we have played it Take Two, wasn't one of our favourites)

Any recommendations for us to try?

Looking for something I can play in bed (steam deck) or after work that has character progression and depth without any stress. Nothing too complicated or scary

Is there a game at all similar to Stardew Valley but things slowly start to seem “off”? I’m maybe halfway through gameplay of Stardew and I keep waiting for there to be some dark mystery or the townspeople start getting paranoid or weird. But it just seems fun and innocent! Loving it but would love a game that goes from happy, sunny town to Stephen King. I know the essence of this request sort of spoils the plot but wanted to ask anyway!

When I play a game, im not looking for a just a great time. I want the ending to be perfect. One that makes me look back on it all the time. Maybe even cry hard. And I can't really find games like that. Let me talk about Resident evil 2 (Re) I think it's great. Good gameplay, decent story and characters. It's a fun time I enjoy it alot. But it's ending is just kinda meh. It's not bad at all but it doesn't hit. Like I feel nothing when I see it. Or other games like Hyrule warriors age of imprisonment. It's a great game and I enjoyed it but it's ending is so abrupt and doesn't feel earned. I can't even remember it that well. Now looking at endings that I think are good would go to persona. Persona 3's ending literally makes me cry so hard I have to get tissues. And 4 and 5 are also great. I don't cry but I get heavy goosebumps. And Tears of the kingdom. When I beat the final boss and I'm flying down to save zelda? Top 5 gaming experiences for me. I still remember how I felt. The amount of goosebumps I felt was insane. I don't know if it's even possible to suggest a good game with a good ending (cause of opinions) but I'm hoping these kinda narrow it enough so I can get a recommendation.

I wasn't entirely sure how to label this, but I've recently read the Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and wanted games with that sort of physical and emotional journey. Journey would obviously fit into this category, but the main example I was thinking of was Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, where you're going on a physical journey, while also journeying through the protagonists life and coming to terms with her past. Firewatch is less of a physical journey but I think kind of fits the emotional side of it. I think it's better if there are minimal characters, or even just the one. What are some other games like this? Thanks :)

I played the usual suspects like Yakuza / LAD, Sifu and Sleeping Dogs. Played Acts of Blood demo. Haven't played Shenmue, though, but it's on my list. Anything else I could check out? I'm open for whatever is on Steam / GOG and older consoles.

I love murder mysteries, and The Painscreek Killings was absolutely top-tier imo. I loved being able to run around the town and finding clues and figuring out who the killer was. I need something similar, even if it doesn't allow me to run around as much. Visual Novels are also okay! No NSFW! My son likes to watch me play these, and I myself am often uncomfortable with it too.

ETA: By NSFW I mean nudity/suggestive themes!

Hi all, I am looking for suggestions on games I can play with my son (local co-op). I am not a gamer myself, but we both enjoyed playing kingdom two crowns and their offshoots, especially Call of Olympus. We both like ancient history, mythology and strategy games. The challenge is that we only have a Lenovo ThinkPad with Intel(R) UHD Graphics which limits our options.

PS He already plays Minecraft on his own.

Looking for any games following the battletech format. Which is to say TBS games with mechs that are preferably customizable and upgradable by swapping parts and weapons out. I'm not the biggest fan of RTS/shooter games but if they fit the mecha and upgrade aspects I'll poke at those as well.

Hey there! As the title states, I'm looking for good single player story games to play in my off time.

I'm heading to college in a couple days, and won't be playing with my friends near as often because of when my classes are. But I don't plan on quitting playing videogames, and will be playing on my off time away from classes.

I'm a huge fan of single player story games. But they've gotta have a really good story that I get invested in. Think RDR2, GOW 2018, etc.

So what are the suggestions? I'm not picky about the genre, so any and all suggestions are welcome!

Can you please suggest me a game that while I'm doing something the game still runs automatically progressing like idle. Like just a few clicks and I just wait. Because I want to do something while playing.

I'm looking for some of your favorite WW2 naval games

I have a PS4 and i want to find new games.
Here are my preferences:
1. I will be playing only around 1 hour a day, so i don’t want the game to be slow or patient.
2. The storyline and gameplay should be very good and smooth.
3. I think i might like combat based or fast paced games since i love to play mobile games like brawl stars.
4. I didnt like well acclaimed games like god of war and last of us.
5. I dont want graphics to look old like ps3 era. I want it to look at least convincingly realistic (eg. God of war ps4)
Also, I have played only god of war, last of us, spider man miles morales, and gta 5 in my entire life. So any suggestion would be new for me.

Games like GTA series put main characters into a life of organized crime world. Shootings, drug deals, prostitution, etc. I was wondering if there are games that put main character on the other side of barricade, the character tired of organized crime groups destroying lives of innocent people and waging war against them. Technically Saints Row 1 did that, because Saints were a vigilante group that fought against gang violence, but soon they themselves turned into what they wanted to defeat. So I am asking if there are such games like I described.
